The theme may be decorative water fountains, but the dysfunctional use of water is so widespread that it is often overlooked if noticed at all. Water is beautiful and has an emotional and aesthetic attraction that I consider irrelevant; it flows out of the tap; it does not have to flow out of the valve.
The splashing and flowing of fountains reveal the dubious use of water, but the water is used not to be used for drinking or other purposes such as toilets. As with sprays, low-flow toilets are not usually the subject of public attention or concern.
